Deliveries

Delivery is provided free of charge unless otherwise stated on our website or by a member of our team.

From time to time, however (e.g. during the Christmas period or during particularly busy times), this may not be possible. In such instances, a member of our team will get in touch with you to arrange for a delivery at another time.

Next day delivery is usually available (but this cannot be guaranteed) as long as an order is placed – with cleared funds received – by 4pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. We will do our best to provide a next day delivery service on orders placed after this time but cannot guarantee it.

If you don’t receive delivery for any reason, please contact our team using the following contact details:

Email: info@1stchoiceskiphire.com

Security

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorised manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.

We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

SSL protection

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a series of internet rules enforced upon computers connected to the Internet. These rules include encryption (which guards against spying and eavesdropping), authentication (which helps verify that the party who receives data from your site is actually who they claim to be) and data integrity (which ensures that any data sent is not interfered with during transmission).

All information that is passed between your computer and this site is SSL secured. This system helps to ensure that your personal information is both securely transmitted and safe from third parties. When you’re entering your billing and card information you will see https:// at the start of the URL.

You can check our site’s security status within all major browsers.

PCI DSS compliance

PCI DSS is the global security standard for all entities that store, process or transmit cardholder data and/or sensitive authentication data. PCI DSS sets a baseline level of protection for consumers and helps reduce fraud and data breaches across the entire payment ecosystem. It is applicable to any organisation that accepts or processes payment cards.

1st Choice uses Stripe as its chosen payment provider and helps us ensure that our Site is fully compliant. Stripe significantly simplifies the PCI burden for 1st Choice. Our Site uses a hosted payment field for handling all payment card data, so the cardholder enters all sensitive payment information in a payment field that originates directly from Stripe’s PCI DSS–validated servers.

Put simply, your payment card information is not processed or held by 1st Choice, but rather by Stripe.

Pricing

VAT will be charged at the rate applicable at the time of sale.

If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled. If the order is cancelled and you have already paid for the goods, you will receive a full refund.
